B98.5 Update

Hey I was out driving in my car listening to the radio. On B98.5 it looks like Jordan Graye is on vacation this week, Kelly McCoy was filling in for her. But have no worries, Kelly was still playing B98.5's 98 at 9, that's over ninety-eight minutes of music starting every weekday morning at nine! Kelly sounded like he was enjoying the change of pace and enjoying all the great music. What a good time and great music to be had by all, the most music to start your workday! I'll have to wait until this afternoon to find out, I wonder over at B98.5's sister station .... 97.1 The River, whether Kate McCarthy was able to get the week off too. What a great outfit Cox must be, giving their employees time off and playing all that great music for the listeners.
 
I heard Jordan and Kate have been told to play nice as the animosity was dividing Cox Radio right down the middle. It wouldn't surprise me if they are vacationing somewhere together thats how tight and alike they are these days.
 
I wonder who STILL listens to this station and what the intentions of this post is about. To be hubris and laud B98.5 or to irritate the rest of us who are doing the latest "flipping station" craze on the radio because they can't find a good radio station here? The next thing that will happen is for 25 different people posting how great their favorite station is 25 times on this blog. However, the good thing coming out of this is that it does provide us with a great literature reading from our restless routines.

And yes, radio DJs do take vacations for a week from time to time, and they deserve it too for all the work they put into in this merciless competitive market.
 
I know Kelly, Jordan, and Kate. Nice people who do good work for the best broadcast group in town.
 
Did Kelly play the brand spanking new crossover smash from Daughtry, "Feels Like Tonight?" Maybe he was feeling particularly edgy and threw "What About Now" on!

Jordan is staying at here this week; kind of a "stay-cation" with her daughter. Kate is back home in Texas doing some horseback ridding.

What about the brand-new Katy Perry song, "Hot 'N Cold"? The AC station here in Jackson called it a new song the other day.

I understand their musical tastes are similar but somewhat different. Both agree on Elton John and Journey, but Jordan likes Madonna and Colbie Caillat while Kate prefers Lynyrd Skynyrd and Boston.
