B98.5 ... Wow!

And B98.5 FM played in the 6PM hour that great 1986 song from Nu Shooz "I Can't Wait". Exactly, I can't wait! For another 50-minute music hour, that is!

It was another big 80s weekend on B98.5 FM! I enjoyed all the swell tunes while trying to stay cool in the heat! Why do show prep when you can just make some generic reference about the weather? And speaking of the weather, the weather forecast Sunday sounded exactly like the one for Saturday. What's the current temperature? Oh never mind. Tomorrow morning it's the B98.5 FM 98 at 9! That's 98 minutes of music every weekday morning at nine. It's a great way to start your workday! It's no wonder B98.5 FM is the station voted #1 for the most music while you listen at work!

Hey y'all I'm heading to Target and Publix to buy some things. But don't worry, I'm taking another B98.5 50-minute music hour with me! I feel sorry for the cashiers because I don't think they're allowed to listen to B98.5 at work. I bet B98.5 is playing in the company break room however, nothing like Atlanta's Best Variety of Soft Rock to brighten everyone's day! I'm just sitting on pins and needles wondering what Jordan is going to say next. Is she going to talk about the 50-minute music hour? The 98 at 9? Or maybe what a great song whatever tune she's playing and maybe how hot it is today and give some kinda feel good tip to make sure I stay safe in the heat!

Not meaning to be rude but are you high or something? This isn't the best station in the world and even if it was you'd have to be on dope or something to talk like that. Can't be as good as KCMX (101.9) Lite 102 in Medford, OR which sadly stopped streaming.

I believe caller10 was treating us to a hearty dose of sarcasm.

You can't compare a major-market station to a small-market station.

If your a media buyer buying a station advertising an hour and a half of commercial free music, you should be shortening your day parts accordingly. If you are a sales person going up against a buy with a station doing that, educate your buyer on that little sneaky trick.

That station's salesperson should not be pitching 6a-10a or 10a-3p, if the commercials are only going to run 6a-9a and/or 10:30-3p. Many stations have a MUCH higher rating point as a result of not running commercials for that time period however short it is, but why should they get a rate based on a 1.6 rating or even a 2.0 rating depending on the demo, if its only going to run in a 1.1 or so less rating in a much lesser rated hour? Especially if its a Soft Rock-Easy Listening station with a lot of office listening kicking in at 9am.

Sales people for that station won't tell the buyer about the commercial free 1 1/2 hour, but their competition should. It seems only fair to pay only for what your getting. If your not a media buyer, I am sure you don't care one way or the other, but the client shouldn't be forced to pay a higher rate for an hour and a half they aren't running. And it happens a LOT.

I bet regardless don't you think the buyer already knows? After-all, everyone knows about B98.5 FM's 98 at 9! It's ninety-eight minutes of music every weekday morning at nine, and a great way to start your workday!

LOL... so right on. Unless its one of those buyers in NY that knows everything and can justify their buy and job because they have an Arbitron ranker.

....which leads them to being voted #1 for listening at work, again!

Say what you will, but when my favorite mix-CD of songs that I made a few years ago got stolen, I found I could just tune to 98.5 and it was like I was transported in time back to when I made that mix CD. That lasted until I was able to make a new mix-CD.

Looking forward to another "Big 80s Weekend" on B98.5 FM! And since it's the 4th of July holiday weekend, I bet it's going to be three days straight of all those great 80s tunes! But nonetheless even when the 4th of July party weekend is over, there's always Tuesday morning and the B98.5 "98 at 9". That's over 98 minutes of music every weekday morning at nine! It's all on Atlanta's station for the best variety of soft rock and the new home of Steve and Vikki, B98.5 FM! It's no wonder B98.5 FM is the station voted #1 for the most music while you listen at work ... I luv B98.5 FM!!!
