BA HUMBUG

This is the current state of Atlanta radio, maybe the magical elves will talk Santa into bringing some of these idiot PD's a brain for Christmas, and get off their arse and do something, shall we say different? I guess that is too much to ask, maybe a bar of soap on a rope so they will not drop it in the shower, you never know who might be behind you??? ;D ;D

One can only hope as he has turned this board into his own personal agenda for stale music.

Maybe he'll bring him an iPod so he can load all of his favorite oldies records onto them and we won't be exposed to the BRENTing anymore. ;)

Guys, give BRENT a break, would ya? He's not doing anything but venting on this forum...just the way y'all do! He wants to see an oldies format. I do too but they are not commercially viable in Atlanta right now. So, we wait. While waiting, we vent. I'm still waiting for my all-polka station. (Seriously doubt it would happen) That IS what this is about. Air your opinions, feelings and ideas...whether they are right or wrong. Here is where free speech lives!

So give the guy a break, OK? How would everyone feel if they suddenly lost their radio station format or, maybe, Sirius/XM closes shop? (Not gonna happen, but still...)

BRENT, I'm with you, man! I'd love to see a classic hits format...oldies format...Music of your Life format...ALL POLKA FORMAT! Anything without the letters A and C in it!

Thanks Surfer. Really I do not know why they jump on me? Especially Roddy.

Brent has a valid point. Look at the other top 10 markets, except DC, all have a oldies or classic hits station in the top 10 6+. It just makes you wonder how young is Atlanta demographically?

So why (given Atlantas percentages) is there not a classic R&B "Soul" station? Look at Youngblood's popularity. Surely there could be a frequency that could support a full time "soul" station. Not urban, hip-hop, rap etc..but classic soul. Ojays, Booket T, The Spinners, First Choice, Philly Soul..Memphis Soul, Atlantic Muscle Shoals sound etc. hot processing, some solid quick jingles, and a staff of showmen/women, who can talk 'em up and rock the pot! Dedications on weekends..remotes from car dealers and meat markets. I miss WAOK

102.5 tried that when Radio One first launched the station.
