Back to Future In Baltimore

Another "for instance" that we have reached the beginning of the end for the era in which talk radio is dominated by syndicated conservative talk. The Baltimore Sun ("WBAL Radio rides news, Orioles back to its roots describes heritage blow-torch WBAL's return to full service news-talk. Local-live talk. Local news blocks in morning and afternoon drive. Orioles baseball and other play-by-play sports coverage. Reportedly cume is up one-third and the station has jumped from eighth to four place in the overall numbers (the station is number one in morning drive). The article cites other stations that have gone to local-live talk and put the news back in news/talk.
