Backyard Bill Hatheway

Not sure why they let him go after just nine months on the job. But nothing inside that insane asylum makes any logical sense, anyway.

Inside BYB sources report that former Sales Manager Amy Dillon has been promoted to Hatheway's former position. No word on who'll succeed Dillon as the new SM. Lindell is probably crapping a gold brick about now!

Wheeeeee.....spin the wheel of Backyard folks. Turnover is always high at a station, but it seems the Backyard merry-go-round tosses people off more than most.

Amy is a talented person and hope she can pull a team together. Not a job I'd take on a bet, though... :p This past 12 months has already seen changes in sales, news, talent, and on-air programming. Advertisers are not real responsive to lots of random changes....

Here's a humorous anecdote: Backyard operates a "pedestrian" Country music station in Olean, NY [where I first discovered radio as a toddler].
The calls are WPIG, and [yes] – they proudly-promote themselves as "The PIG"! :D
