Ms.MRadio-Smooth Jazz IS dying, as it stands. No real mention of who's killing it, yet it is on life support. Most markets have chosen to give up on it, however we've chosen to fight and stick with our advertisers. They believe in the brand, as do we.
and as far as the formatic interests here, that's proves that it isn't about "radio", or "good radio", but relegated to rehashing memories or worse.
Barfly, I appreciate the stroke, but I use this board as a barometer for what "radio minds" of the market say, and I get let down from time to time. The assessment of talent in this market is a bit rough. There is some great talent, on WiLD, in Middays and Afternoons, who never get much attention yet, consistantly deliver top rating share. Not really for me, but proud of the team. No worries. I vent therefore I don't kill.
I learned that you can't post numbers exactly, BUT lemme try this. First, to help define this F U Skip slant. F U Skip ranked ahead of WQYK, respectively in the money demo, except mornings. (+.3), (-1.1), (+.6),(+.4), (+1)
If that a reason for a pizza party, I'm all for the extra carbs, however when Rocky whooped Clubber Langs ass, Lang's corner didn't break out Papa John's when he landed a left. WQYK is fine, and I think you all have seen that the station hasn't been shaken by anyone who left. Nuff of that.
Bubba is ahead of the midget (4.6), in the money, almost at 14 shares. After, you got some comedy guy, some christmas, and some WiLD sh*#. Don't ask how that happened, but it won't occur again, if we can help it. I know Obama got hip pop-ular music mentioned in older circles but WiLD top 5, top 3, and even 2 in most key dayparts in enough to make anyone at 4002 order another drink.
Fish and Boy are busy kicking my ass in our charity challenge, but I'll give them your regards. Yeah, to competing shows are in a race to raise....what am I thinking? I forgot. Nevermind.
