Bad moves by 680 The Fan

Recent moves by 680 The Fan were bad. Here's why:
1. Airing the Colin Cowherd Show makes no sense when you consider The Ref in Athens and The Ticket in Gainesville already air him.
2. Bringing back Lorenta to the morning show was terrible. The reason? He's a terrible talk show host. Probably the worst in Atlanta sports talk history other than the Fabulous Sports Babe. I wish he would have just sailed into the sunset once his contract ended. Much like I wish Celleni would have done at The Zone.

Cowherd's show is better than Hangtime w/ Perry by far. Yeah, he's not local, but so what...he can get the big names in sports on the air. 680 should go full time ESPN radio, except for keeping a home for Buck and Kincade. Even if they didn't, B&K could easily hop over to the Zone.

I would personally hate if they add more national ESPN. Keep it local. I'm more interested in local talk mixed in with regional/national. This couldn't have come at worse time with college football season.

This couldn't have come at worse time with college football season.

AMEN TO THAT!

Why put Perry on the morning show? He has had no success since the departure of Max Howell. They tried out so many other guys on the Rude Awakening. Would one of them not been easier and more enjoyable to listen to than Perry?

I agree, but I wouldn't have wanted to listen to Perry talk about college football either. They need a new local show.

The only good thing about 680 The Fan, IMHO, is the play-by-play the station broadcasts, including Monday Night Football from CBS Radio Sports and Westwood One.
