BaD radio moving to the Fan?

I would put it at 30-70 that they're gone judging by the situation and listening yesterday. Rhyner seemed pretty pessimistic and made little indirect quips throughout the show like "The Spurs can keep their team together but we can't" and "All our agents do is screw things up."

When The Hardline was up for grabs in 2009, you knew that Cumulus would match whatever offer CBS gave them because The Hardline IS The Ticket. Bob and Dan are a great piece to the team but I don't think Cumulus will see them in the same untouchable way as they do The Hardline.

The Ender:
Dan closes WTDS with "just in case we never get a chance do this again...or maybe its many years before we do this again, I'd just like to say Mike, I love you. I just want to give you a hug... A Why Today Doesn't Suck hug. You're my leader."

Dan "Snake"
Cobra "Buddy"
Dan "You're the best"
Cobra "I love you"
Dan "Just in case"
Cobra "I know"
Dan "Just in case I need to do that"

Bob "See you in the next life, Johnny"

(long delay before the closing sounder)

Dan: Quite a pause there Jake, what are we doing?
Cobra: Crying.
Bob: Trying to make it more awkward.

It was always Bruce Gilbert's plan to bring over the ticket guys to 105.3, he almost had it when Mike was ready to go, but Corby re-upped with Ticket and Mike changed his mind and stayed... This could be the first shoe to drop.... I think it is a huge gamble by Bad RADIO.. you know your job is safe at the Ticket, no matter how money whipped they are by CBS, there is NO guarantee of that there... Also who goes from 105.3 to make room? Not going to pay them big money to do mid-days are they?

I hear ya but there's no way they put them up against the Leviathans of the Musers amd Hardline. I'd say middays until the Hardline bolts and then put BaD in PM drive. I'm willing to bet good money that Rhyner is ready to scale back his workload.

I'm completely ignorant of these things but is it possoble for Cumulus to sell the entire Ticket brand, contracts and all, to CBS? What would it take? 30M? 50?

If the reports are true that its 3 years guaranteed, then they will still get paid no matter if they are on the air or not. Now why do Bob and Dan want to leave KTCK. Is it money, better working conditions, better time slot, tired of the Cumulus crap, who knows. I may give them a listen, but how long will they have to sit out that non-compete.

We are staying home for years to come. In the end, just can't leave you or our brothers or the special thing we have all built. #1310

Well, it was all talk, Bad Radio re-ups with Tickets... wild story.

....and Friday afternoon comes off sounding like a bit.

If I had a Ticket show, or even a Grubes-type of job, I can't imagine giving up a sure thing for an uphill treadmill full of whatever passes for ratings at 75/Fitzhugh these days.

^ So Cumulus matches. Wow.

We see that Cumulus matched, but is it in their contracts that they have to accept the offer if they did match. They still could have went to KRLD-FM if they wanted to.
