No, I'm not referring to my confession about Scott Conner. I tuned into J.D. Hayworth this afternoon to hear news of the convention, and seriously, every time he quotes Obama, he speaks in an "Amos and Andy" voice! It's disgusting. Isn't anybody at CC listening? I can't believe this guy held national office! Somebody needs to verbally slap him upside his head! Jaybird-you were so right about this guy!

For J D and his impressions of Senator Obama, what do Phil Gordon and Barak Obama have in common. They both belong to Minorities that the real bigots of this world hate.

I suppose I missed the memo on Phil Gordon being a great mayor as I was a tad too busy dodging bullets to notice in this crime ridden city.
I've lived in Phoenix since 1982 and can tell you that Phil Gordon is just another in the long list of terrible politicians that Arizona is embarrassingly electing. Whether it was the bigot Evan Mecham, Fife Slimington (though actually a good governor but as big a crook as has ever lived), Jane D. Hall with the alt fuels fiasco, ManJan, and many others, this state has gone continually downhill since then.
So a recall drive against Phil Gordon failed... let's not forget to note that many others who were on the ballot didn't get elected due to a great push of influence, but that will never be brought up... only the failures. Typical I'd say, just typical.
It's sad that I have to be the voice of reason around here, because I hate to ever be in a position to defend JD Hayworth but let's face it--everyone on this board said he would fail, he's still there (oh and beating the competition I should note). I don't even care for his show, but simply because everyone on this board is against him, I route for him actively--call it the underdog syndrome.

No, actually, I was referring to my statement on another thread about how I really enjoyed Scott Conner. Anytime I ever listened to him, he was pretty darn funny, Then I said I also liked an alternate host of the same show (Wheel of Hosts), Mike Siegel, another radio host who catches a lot of flak. Because not many people like either host-I was making a joke about my taste. I Don't listen to J.D.,don't like his show, tuned in just to hear the news. Don't listen to Rush. Barry Young doesn't care whether you like his sound fx or not and I wish I COULD listen to his show-he's a scream!
