Bain Capital has ruined WTVN

I heard a week old newscast play on WTVN Saturday morning at 10am....pathetic. When will the idiots in San Antonio realize a News station needs more than 2 or 3 people on their news staff in market 35? At least I can get live/local news on WMNI on Saturday mornings.

Who was not running it when they bought Clear Channel. The company is run by liberals! The CEO has given money to Obama.

Who knows when Romney was running Bain and when he wasn't. The year that he claimed he left the firm has been proven to be incorrect, as has just about everything else that he has said.

Fact check...

it isn't about who may have been running Clear Channel then, it's about who is running it now. It's in really bad shape now, and was in much better shape when the crazies ran it. For some reason, I always thought of Bernie as a Republican, pretty sure he told me that a while ago, in a conversation!

Bain was (is) just another global finance flim-flam scheme to steal jobs in the name of remote exploitation.

Ideally it was hoped that (the investors) would enjoy enough time to realize more of the "fruits" of such offshoring
before those fleeced realized what happened.

That used to be beyond a generation, so it was easy to hide tradeoffs on value.

As economies around the world converge the chickens are coming home to roost much sooner than expected.

Vampires and con men, all of them.

I can't wait to watch the snake eat its own tail. This is fascinating.
Those with their heads stuck in the loop of the ever shrinking snake may find it difficult to breathe at some point.

How many global bankers does it take to change a light bulb?

What stations get their news staff cut and why? For example, both WTAM and WLW appear to
still have a 24/7 fully staffed news room and didn't have the severe cuts to their new room as WTVN has had over the last six or years or so.

What would it take for WTVN to hire a full news staff again like they had ten years ago. It looks
live never. :'(

Probably never. The ongoing effort will be to use the various regional and national platforms instead of local talent as much as possible. Greed? I think it's to pay the mortgage. My understanding is they are rationing paper clips.
