Baker and Stoney on WHEB

I just got back from spending the winter in California, a friend of mine told me that WHEB's PM drive show (Baker and Stoney) will be on their way out soon? And why would WHEB be promoting it with a liner? That can't be true! Who/What would they replace them with? Those two really rock and kick @$$, if all is true, what the hell is going through the minds of the directors? Hate to sound all worked up, but they can't be leaving!

Well, it might make sense considering that Clear Channel is going to be simulcasting that team from WHJY in Providence. I figure it'll be only a matter of time before they move them to afternoons on both WHEB + WGIR. I mean, why in the hell would they have a team kind of show on at nights anyway? I believe that they'll give them a book, then move them to afternoons.
Regardless, I can't wait to hear how a Rhode Island based radio show plays in New Hampshire. Way to go Clear Channel geniuses!

It's going to be Quinn and Cantara from WHJY - they are very entertaining from what I have heard of them off and on (I am generally am not listening from 7pm on).

I think they will be sucessful in the New Hampture market since at least one of them (if not both) worked for WGIR a few years back and know the area. They were boradcasting from Lazer in North Hampton Mass for awhile (doing their morning show) and having sucess for awhile before reciently heading over to nights at HJY.

Yeah I know the names of those guys, but why kick out Baker whos already got an established daypart? Are these Quin and Canatra guys that good?

Baker and Stoney are evening drive jocks (aka afternoon daypart). Quin and Canatra are PM jocks-7-midnight. The evening guy at 'HEB has been gone for some time now--they've just been cycling part-timers while waiting for the simulcast to get started up. Calm down, already!
p.s. I too would be let down if they replaced Baker and Stoney...but based on the press releases, nobody is letting them go.

QUINN AND CANTERA ARE GOING TO BE 7P TO MIDNIGHT. THE OLD NIGHT JOCK IS STILL THERE, HE IS THE MD. AS FOR AFTERNOONS, I DON'T KNOW IF BAKER AND STONEY ARE OUT ... BUT I DOUBT THEY ARE.
