Poster 'kkxx" mentioned on the KBKO FAREWELL topic that Pirate and KBKO both did poorly in ratings.Anyone have real numbers? Who is doing well?Holding steady?Dropping? and who is on their way out?

Predictions? Facts?

Also,Jon Bruce on the KBKO board was right,I still can't understand the whole "Farewell" thing for a basement dweller. Must be an ego thing on the part of the personalities.

Hip hop? Why? Hot and Play already do that. Divide those shares up even more?

Although, I think Play has potential to do more than a 3 share. Looking at their music on Mediabase tells a story as to why they can't garner larger shares.
 
I think KBDS has peaked. On Mediabase... they don't look too far off from what KISV is doing... With the exception of a few niche latin records, that I'm sure work well for them in Bakersfield (actually... I see KISV playing a lot of stiffs right now... okay if you're the heritage leader in the market I guess). The KBDS signal is useless... quite frankly I couldn't imagine any format getting higher numbers on the 103.9 signal. I already hear the rumor of Classic Rock on 96.5 (fyi... Lotus just signed one on in Fresno). But I'm shocked that CC didn't have a non-compete in the deal to prevent Lotus from doing that. Top 40 would be nice... but unlikely. Can't believe KISV just started playing Katy Perry... that's been top 10 at the Pop format for months.
