Baltazar vs Ramiro vs Matty

Who will have the biggest drop in listeners with Baltazar coming back? My opinion is Ramiro and the Jamn listeners will move to Hot 96.9fm. Matty's listeners will continue to listen to Matty. Thoughts????

I believe Ramiro will have the biggest drop with his show. BTW, how is that basketball girl from The Real World doing on his show? I'm in Connecticut and still don't know who she is.

Will be interesting as Ramiro took over for Balty. This is a war and I don't jamn's odds. I'm interested to see how amp does with all this. Somethings gotta give.

I don't think there will be that much of a dip for Ramiro. The listeners for Jam'n are younger than Hot 96.9's, so the listeners who have aged out of Jam'ns target will likely move over to Hot 96.9, but Jam'ns younger listeners will probably stay with Jam'n 94.5. Listeners to Matty and even Karson and Kennedy may be more likely to migrate over to Hot 96.9.

What's going to be interesting to see play out is with the number of stations under the broad "CHR" umbrella in Boston--Jam'n 94.5, Hot 96.9, 103.3 Amp, Mix 104.1, and Kiss 108--if one of these stations will be squeezed out.

Ramiro's show has been borderline OK since the departure of Pebbles and Melissa. It is not as funny as it used to be, but it is bearable. The girl that took over sounds like Kesha to me for some reason. JAM'N will lose a portion of their female older listeners, but the kids will most likely stay. After all, Baltazar has been off that station since 2001. JAM'N will need to play smart and actually play current music to target the younger listeners.

Amp still has not "introduced" a morning show and frankly I don't see how it would even succeed here. There are too many options here for that now. They should just stick with playing the most music in the morning. For some reason, I just can't see AMP being around for long.

AMP is already building a morning show to premiere in April. It will be headed by TJ from Z100's Elvis Duran show.

AMP should try having a jock do a live air shift in the morning, but no "morning show." Playing music without all the talk at least fills a void for people that want to listen to music.

With all of these stations playing music that is so similar and appeals to very similar demographics, how many people are actually listening to commercials when they can just hit a preset button and hear the same style of music somewhere else? I know that AMP/KISS tend to take commercials at the same time, but all of the stations don't all break at the same time, so a CHR fan will almost certainly be able to find a song they like on another station instead of sitting through ads.

My guess:

Older Matty listeners who enjoy the banter and show format will stay with Matty and Kiss.
Younger Matty listeners who want to hear a few songs on the ride to work will flip to TJ and AMP.
Older Ramiro listeners who enjoy a "he said/she said" talk show will flip to Baltazar/Pebbles and Hot.
Younger Ramiro listeners who want to hear a few songs will stick with Ramiro and Jam'n, and the show will adapt.
