Baltimore...You're Getting A Dance Station!

nd2023

Banned
Good news: Mix 106.5 HD2 is soon going to be heard on a translator in Baltimore.
Bad news: It's only 250 watts, worse than a class A signal
Better news: If you have an HD radio you can hear Mix 2 for a 25 mile radius from Baltimore.

Apparently this is because the current owners of the translator, Hope Christian Church, cannot legally rebroadcast its religious format in Baltimore from a full power station in NJ. So it'll be sold to CBS and they'll put Mix 2 on it. So much better to have a local dance station than a syndicated god-caster.

From dcrtv.com
FCC OKs Balto's Mix 2 On 97.5 - 5/13 - A DCRTVer tells us that the Federal Communications Commission has approved CBS Baltimore's hot adult contemporary WWMX, Mix 106.5, to broadcast its Mix 2 dance/hip-hop music channel on 97.5 FM with 250-watts from TV Hill. Mix 2 is currently available as a digital HD Radio subchannel on 106.5.....

CBS should also put HFS on a Baltimore subchannel since 94.7 Bethesda doesn't reach far. HFS used to rock 2 cities so with the new tech why not now? What was that old hfs slogan?.....oh yeah.....evolve
