Bama Country

I don't listen much to Montgomery's Bama Country, but I was just cruising their site and noticed a lot of changes on air. Is former WLWI jock Bubba now on air in the afternoons at Bama Country? Did Kandy move to evenings? What happened to the other guy in middays and the one in evenings?

Hopefully this was a change for the better. I listened for the first time coming through the area last week & I wasn't impressed. I was reminded of the small market radio station with country folks who sound country. When people find out that I used to be in country they ask if I talked with a "country" accent because that's the image country radio has gotten. If those people listened to Bama Country they would think this was true!!!

Jack, you either don't know about country music or you've forgetten where you are. BTW I was driving through Huntsville recently and wasn't impressed with WAY.

After going back & reading what I wrote I wanted to apologize. I didn't mean for it to sound so negative. Thanks!

You are correct! Bubba on Bama used to be on at WLWI before taking a gig in Florida. I guess that was a move to compete with I-92. Bama is consulted by Rusty Walker, and I think it should do well taking ont the heritage WLWI programmed by Cumulus.

hey, how has bama been doing in enterprise now that 93.3 is down?
(power pig 93.3)
