Bandscan with no antenna, 07/27/2012

Just for kicks, I decided to unplug the antenna from my XDR-F1HD and go "barefoot", with just the coax port serving for an antenna. The bandscan was done indoors on the second floor of a home near an open energy-efficient window. My laptop was right next to it:

90.5 KDNI Duluth, MN, 9 miles, poor, variable signal (2 kW)
91.3 KUWS Superior, WI, 9 miles, good but no bars on the F1HD (83 kW)
92.1 WWAX Duluth, MN, 9 miles, fair (5.4 kW)
