Bangor Radio Exposed on Facebook

Has anybody seen this thread on FB? The administrator, Joe Kennedy, is the typical know-it-all who hasn't had a radio gig for a long time and thinks that those who read his reports are impressed. He's so off the mark with most of comments. If he HAD a current job in radio, he would see why things are the way they are. I think most of the stations in Bangor sound good and there's a lot of talent out there.

Joe Kennedy is Dan Cashman's announcer on the Nite Show on WABI/WPME and you're right about the lack of radio experience he has, the only radio gig i remember he has had is part time/weekend at Z107 in Bangor back when Cashman was PD.

He was PT at the old FOX 104.7 for a bit. I could rant and rave about it as well, but on the plus side, it is nice to see someone at least still interested in radio who doesn't derive income from it.

And there is plenty to complain about on the Bangor dial. But I would say to those who constantly whine from the sidelines, put up, or shut up. With the recent sale near Ellsworth, the price of admission is lower now than it has ever been in my lifetime. Six figures can certainly buy a signal in Bangor.
