Bangor, no surprises (it's always WQCB, WKIT then everybody else although the drop in WKSQ is interesting)

as for Augusta...where do these books go? one minute the Augusta /Waterville stations have decent books (WHQO, WCTB, etc) have decent ratings, the next minute the Lewiston stations have a decent book and everybody else drops, looks like the diaries get moved around alot

In Bangor, the WKSQ drop this spring could also be looked at as a return to its normal numbers. Its previous high rating (Fall 2005) could have been due to holiday music programming.

In Augusta, the numbers bounce around a lot because they are an Arbitron "Condensed" market, which means fewer diaries. I'm not sure how many are in-tab in the latest book, but I think it's usually something like only 250 or so. Anyone know?

250 sounds about right. CC must be reeling though with KCG losing to an out of town station in the A/C battle.

It's always interesting how we (as radio peeps), always say the ratings don't mean much in markets like Bangor, yet we (me included) are like kids at Christmas when the official ratings come out. It's a crap shoot.
