Bankruptcy Forces 3 Hilo Stations Off The Air

This is not much of a surprise. Parrot has been in Chapter 11 for a while now, and can't make money with the current economic conditions on the Big Island and three stations to support.
But the real tragedy is the air talent and staff, who really did try to make it work. Under previous ownership, AM 1060 in Hilo was viable, kept a staff employed and paid its bills.
