Barbara Rodgers retires

There's a complimentary article about Barbara Rodgers in the SF Chronicle (see link to SF Gate) who has retired after 29 years with KPIX. The article highlights her accomplishments, but also her efforts to mentor younger African American journalists, such as Pam Moore and Cheryl Hurd.

The article goes on to point out that with both Rodgers and Dennis Richmond leaving the scene, the first generation of Bay Area African American TV journalists has mostly retired.
