Barbara Walters dies at 93

May she forever RIP, what a legend and a trailblazer in TV news, and network television in general. She's now forever reunited with family, friends, and Hugh Downs, up in the heavens.
Condolences to her friends at The View and at ABC.

Of course many put these episodes in the can. Any famous person over about 80 will experience this. I don’t think this is a bad practice but indeed practical.

But my Spectrum schedule shows The Lion King at 8 pm on ABC. I will assume some stations/cable didn’t get the word of the Walter’s special. The holiday weekend didn’t help, but getting listings correct is somewhat important.

My Comcast/Xfinity schedule was showing that until this morning. I don’t know how, when and how often those online schedules/program guides are updated.

Furthermore, during "America's Funniest Home Videos", there was a commercial for the movie. Then there was one for the special "20/20".

Her disabled sister gave her the ability to treat people as people, regardless of who they were.

Frank McGee didn't like having her around and wouldn't accept her as a co-host but his insistence that she not interview people there in the studio led to her specials.

Harry Reasoner really seemed to be trying to look pleased.
