Barcelona Radio Dial

From the outskirts of Barcelona, on a wooded hill near the gigantic Collserrola transmitter site and not far from the Baixador metro station with a little DX398 radio:

87.7 Talk, fickle signal: RAC FM
88.3 RNE Radio 1
88.7 Radio RM
89.1 Radio Marca
89.8 Onda Rambla
90.5 M80 Radio
91.0 COM Radio
92.0 Catalunya Informacio
92.5 iCat FM
93.0 RNE R. Clasica
93.5 Onda Cero
93.9 Los 40 Principales
94.9 Europa FM (Es)
95.5 Kiss FM (playing Catalan Rock)
96.0 Radiole
96.9 SER
97.7 Radio Teletaxi
98.6 RNE 3
99.0 RNE 5
99.4 Cadena Dial
100.0 Cadena 100
100.8 RNE 4
101.5 Catalunya Music
102.0 BCN COPE
102.8 CATRADIO
103.5 Ona Catalana
104.2 Maxima FM
105.0 RAC 105
105.7 Flaix FM
106.1 Flaixbac
107.4 Grama Radio

Some notes:

- The band was pretty much a mix between Spanish and Catalan language stations. Catalan is the local language of Barcelona and the Catalonia region as a whole, but I hear more Spanish on the subway system (though there seems to be a concerted government effort to put Catalan EVERYWHERE).

- I did not have any luck with DX reception - everything heard was either from the local Casserolla or Tibidabo transmitter sites. The rest of the band was full of some wideband noise. MW and SW, on the other hand, were nearly noise-free.

- Unlike the US, stations here do not seem to follow clearly defined formats quite as often. Music stations seemed to tend towards a fairly mainstream AC mix. Los 40 Principales is a Top 40 station as the name suggest, while Flaix (¨Flash¨) FM and Maxima FM had dance formats.

- Often even reception from the nearby transmitter sites was fickle and depended greatly on antenna orientation. This seems to have some relation to the very high FM noise or intermod level.
