Barix Instreamer 100s and lower bitrates

I would like to use the Barix Instreamer to stream out football broadcasts at 24k mp3. It appears that the lowest these units will go is 56k in mp3 with the 0 lowest setting. The streaming provider will only accept mp3 streaming and not the other more modern stuff the Barix is capable of. We are wanting to use the Viastreaming Shoutcast service. Am I missing something here or is 56k the lowest I can use? Thanks!
 
Is there a mono/stereo selection? Maybe you are set to stereo?

Hi Rolf! It is set to mono. I'm beginning to think it's a limitation based in their DSP chipsets they use. Hopefully there's a way around it, but so far notta. Thanks for the input!
