Barnicle to WBUR?

Both Adam Reilly and Dan Kennedy are reporting that WBUR might bring in Mike Barnicle to do commentary.

Why not skip the middleman and simply dig up Mike Royko?

Instead of Barnicle reading Ryoko's words and claiming they're his, just get Ryoko to do it himself.
 
Good idea except that Royko has been dead for 11 years.

I do believe that in spite of that he'll still be voting in the upcoming November elections in the great city of "shicakah".

Walt Sanders, a reporter for WBZ, once commented that, although he hadn't been back to his hometown of Chicago for 15 years, he had voted there in the last 4 elections. He did mention that it would have been nice if the city had at least published a list of who the 'absentee' voters had voted for, although he was sure it was for Democrats.
