Good to see Barry Chase going into the georgia radio hall of fame. Great guy.

Name from the past... WQXI, right? What's he up to now?

Barry and Scott Woodside were the morning show team I along with David Meszaros hired at Z-93 when it switched to Classic Rock in January of '89. Barry was a class act! Hard worker. Funny. A real pro. I still think of him quite often and he is truly missed.

Sorry to hear that Barry Chase passed at such a young age. What do you bet he would be doing talk radio now? Had he lived we probably would now be discussing that he should keep going and not retire!

I had a chance to work with Barry when I worked at Z-93, the classic rock years. He was a gentleman, and a true
delight to work with. I'm sorry to hear of his passing. He was a class act.

I had the pleasure of working with Barry at K-Lite 99 FM in Phoenix back in the mid-80's. I was around 25 and he was so kind to share his many years of experience with me. For about a year I did morning with him. That was better than a masters degree as far as I was concerned. When I left K-Lite to move to another market and do mornings solofor the first time Barry voiced morning show promo intros and outros. His charge was allowing me to take him out to lunch.

I was working at WNIV 970 in Atlanta in 1988 and Barry was at Z-93. I called him and we spent some time together catching up. I was saddened when I heard about his death in '97. What a genuinely great guy.

For him to be enshrined in the GA Radio Hall of Fame is no waste of space. He deserves it for sure.

You're a lucky man. Barry was a great guy and a pleasure to listen to. A true radio pro in all respects.

This guy was awesome!

In my first days of radio all I listebed to was 'Quxie' and 'Woofum'.

Barry dropped by the high school for a career day seminar. After his appearance, out of the blue, he decided to drop by our little 1000 watt day=timer, 250 at night. I just happened to be there and got the thrill of my life to meet him. We spoke for a long time about radio and what was going to happen with that weird thing, FM radio. He was so right.

I'll always remember him and that special day in my radio life.

I was a college kid doing weekend news at KQWB, Fargo in 1966 when the PD gave a young jock named Ron Shultz the air name "Barry Chase." The PD was Charles Hanks who who went on under the name Chuck Riley to be a leading VO talent. Riley died last year.
