Barry Young interviews Hero Charles Ramsey - Phoenix exclusive

Cleveland's resident Charles Ramsey was interviewed by Barry Young - unfortunately I could not hear much of it because Ramsey was on a bad cell connection. Barry invited Charles out to Phoenix.

Could this be a new member of the crew? It would help Barry get a younger and more urban demo,

A definite baby step that could one up 92~Three's Dave Ramsey!
 
At least Ramsey did the right thing in this case.
The latest offense the article mentions is ten years ago. Is he cleaning up his life? Maybe.
But just maybe his recent actions balance the scales somewhat. Let's hope so.
 
And will someone be contacting the young women he helped to free to let them know that they ran into the arms of a convicted felon who spent 8 months in jail (not the same thing as prison technically)? Or is it okay if we permit them to start their road to recovery, while simultaneously not hindering a man who paid his debt to society, if he gets a nice gig somewhere?
 
I'm sure the women will be told, or they'll learn about it. And what if Ramsey does get a good gig? Maybe he'll learn that doing the right thing pays off.
Frankly, even if the women knew about his record before they escaped, it would have probably been a chance worth taking.
It would have been hard to worsen their situation.
As far as I'm concerned, we shouldn't make much of Ramsey's past if he does better in the present. That past isn't good, but even his ex-wife appears to have forgiven him, or at least come to terms she can accept.
 
I tried listening. The audio quality was terrible. You couldn't even understand Ramsey.
I doubt Barry could either, because he continously offered up his forced laugh after each Ramsey answer since he too, had no idea what Ramsey was saying.

Awful interview.
 
I know. He should have given the guy a taxi ride to a motel with a land line. "Do you have a land line? OK let us send a car for you and take you to such and such motel, and be our guest there for a night with meals included...blah blah. and we will call you."

It might have cost the station $300 bucks, but it would have been worth it. cell phone stuff is problematic.
