Barter for voiceover work

Hello,

voicehunter.com used to offer a barter program for voice work, but have discontinued it. Do you all know of any other sources that will barter for voiceover work? It's for a new station, and we're not going to have that much...probably a page a month at most.

Thanks!

I don't offer barter but I can work with any budget. I can do buyout, retainer, whatever best fits for your situation.

BARTER?!

Look, you can get a page of pro, dry reads for as low as $50....if THAT'S too much for your station, shutter the windows, bolt the doors and tear down the transmitter cause that's not profit knocking on your door....its doom!<P ID="signature">______________

What would you offer as the barter out of morbid curiosity? Some nice station logo T-Shirts or coffee mugs? Maybe some of those really neat temporary tatoos with logo?! ;) What format and general market size are we talking here?

Perhaps they will offer airtime in exchange for voice work. I would do that in a minute. I would get on the air and sell Colloidal Sea Silver with Flax Seed Oil to minimize the effects of aging...

Here's a message for smart listeners only! If you do not consider yourself smart, please turn your attention elsewhere for a moment. Say, are you fading? Do you sometimes feel like there is pressure in your ears? Especially when you are in an elevator or driving up a hill? Does your telephone ring when you're NOT expecting a call? Can you remember anything at all RIGHT NOW! Go ahead, my friend try and remember something important RIGHT NOW.......Can't do it? Well then it's time for us to get right to work and make sure you have an order of Colliodal Sea Silver with Flax Seed Oil rushed to your door today. Send your credit card to our secure processing center at Drawer "J", Square Station Depot, Ocoa, TN We'll properly charge it and send it back to you right away along with our exciting Colloidal Sea Silver with Flax Seed Oil. It will look great on your counter with it's glazed glass bottle, and fully knurled cap. Yes it enhances any life..Even YOURS! So send your card in today. We'll see to it that only our staff examines, and charges your credit account, and that you have peace and tranquility for evermore. But you must act today. (some sample charges may appear on your card, these can be ignored and paid in accorance with your credit agreement. By sending us the actual card you agree to these charges and further agree to make financial arrangements to have them removed from your account via a timely payment to your baking institution)

Sure I'll take the airtime...

Bartering for voice services is quite simple. The voice talent works with a 3rd party "middle man" company which sells commercials :)60spots) to national clients. Radio stations play the 3rd parties commercial inventory, in exchange the 3rd party company pics up the bill for the voice over talent.

The station wins cause all they have to do is play a couple spots a day!

The 3rd party company wins cause they are taking in more from selling the airtime then they are spending to pay for the voicetalent!

The voice talent wins cause in the end, the bill is getting paid.

Voicehunter.com uses to offer this service, I believe zeoradio.com does and a few others.

A word to the wise for voiceover talents. Some 3rd party companys who are supposed to be paying your bill for the station become notoriously late with payments. I have decided to stay away from getting involved with these deals, as have some other VO friends of mine.
