Baseball Playoffs

How much of ESPN coverage will we get on WEEI/WRKO this October?
OT- Francona as AL Manager of the year. Beckett and Papelbon - co-goats of the year

The first round may have some 4 pm starts but I doubt WEEI or WRKO would have those.

Some night action--it's poss. some may wind up on WRKO like if Celts have exhibition game on.
Last yr some games (NL) got shifted to WWZN 1510 (pd for by Entercom)

we'll have to see

unlike last yr, no Sox in first round.

and 1 pm starts. as I write this note, only 1 playoff team is located west of the central time zone (San Fran)

I thought MLB had gotten rid of all the 1 p.m. starts last year, to maximize ad revenue. Anyway, San Diego still might get the wild card, giving us two West Coast teams.

For a while, when the Rockies got hot and the Braves were leading by a couple of games in the wild card race, it looked as though the entire Pacific time zone would be shut out. It would have been interesting to see which Central team(s) would be forced into a 9:00 local start to fill the 10:00 Eastern slot on the first couple of nights.

First round schedule

Would doubt WEEI would do afternoon games. There is a Yanks-Min. game at 6:07 pm on Thu;
may go to that? Wonder if WRKO will get any (certainly no Howie pre-emptions though) or
even WWZN?

Some other ESPN stations may have some as well as:
880 NYC/1410 Hartford Yanks network
1210 Philly
XM Radio

Are Reds on 700 WLW?

XM may well have both teams' broadcasts and maybe ESPN Radio too (in case of former,
for example, local nets for Rangers, Rays, Yankees, and Minn....SF, Atl, Phi, and Cin. nets...

WEEI sched: Yankees-Twins will be joined in progress around 9:45 pm Wed night after Celts pre-season. Sat will be a doubleheader on EEI at 4 pm with Rangers-Rays,
Yankees-Twins at 8. RKO's sched page shows not updated yet (only has till yesterday)

If I'm not mistaken, XM carries 3 feeds (home, away & national for the world series and LCS, ESPN will probably feed the LCS/WS on their main channel so affiliates will get them by default, but for the first round my guess is XM will carry the home broadcast and maybe the national feed.

bostonradio tweeted to me:
>>680 will get most of WS games Game 1(C's on 850), Game 4(SNF on 850), Game 5(MNF on 850), Games 6(C's on 850), Game 7(C's on 850)
