Baseball

Anyone have any ideas on giving away a pair of baseball season tickets?

My brother is looking for ideas on how to award them about a week before the season starts.

I am coming up with zero good ideas so I thought I would throw out the idea on the board.

Some Promo Ideas...

Some suggestions...

"(Station call letters) Triple Play"

Choose three core station "All Star" artists. Tell listeners to be listening for these three in the "triple play"...to be played back to back. Caller __ gets a prize and is then entrered in a drawing for the season tickets.

"(call letters) Home Run"

Interactive on air game that takes some production values. Caller __ gets to "step up to the plate to swing for season tickets". Caller pushes a button on their touch tone phone and swings at the pitch (actually the produced carts). Carts are either "strike" (which ends the caller's chance), "foul" (they get to try again) or "home run". A home run gets them a small prize and qualifies them to be in the drawing for the season tickets.

Hope you like 'em.

Anyone need a Promotions Director? :)

Ask if the listener has "balls"
Have a very BRAVE listener...
(if u are in atlanta, "BE brave for the braves" : )
-><-
Anyways, "Last FAN Standing"
Set them up in front of a pitching machine..
the one who takes the most abuse..sits in the seats
81 days during the summer..*minus rain out games : )
-
alternate ideas:
He who hits the farthest, sits the closest
all season..runners(no pun) up...get single game seats.
-
if in a warm city:
tie in w/ a homeless drive:
_The one who sits in the stadium the longest...as a "sleep out"
to raise the social level of homelessness wins...a great
tie breaker for that is stays out the longest, and raises the
most in donations..to the cause.
-

if the team sucks:
"SPIN" it so it makes the winner..."forced" to be there all season.
(Can have some real fun with that : )
"...ok, if you actually WANT season tickets..sign up at
[sponsors] booth when this morning show is there..and if you
are the UNLUCKY winner, you will be there for every game..."

-
tie it in: w/ the morning show:
"The winner of the season tickets...yea, u get to be there to
enjoy the game, eat hot dogs..etc, BUT there is a "price" for
these season's...no, you wont have to 'pay' for them, but you
will have to work the cost that we shelled out..(*Hype it up,
there are great seats, great seats arent free*) and..make the
listener, be the "recap"/"reporter" for the station while
at the game..
So, the listener takes in the game, and then calls into the
morning show, cans a break, and gives the morning show some
thing to work with..once the "guest talent" sharpens her/his skills,
he can do the report "live"

thats all i got for now.
Hope that helps.
