Basshunter - Now You're Gone on Z100/New York

nd2023

Banned
Around 10:18 last night, I couldn't believe my ears when I heard Now You're Gone on New York's CHR station, Z100. I had to double check to make sure my radio wasn't on 87.7! Hopefully it migrates to other CHR stations just like Cry For You did (I even heard that song on 94.1KX, a CHR in the middle of nowhere in western Pennsylvania).

I been on it since last weekend, but right now its only allowed a massive 10 spins a week... i wont matter, on Nov.13th we all get canned for Dial Global Sat Format.... So we will loose another CHR... We have practically dropped David Guetta, but are still on September-Cry for you, and are giving Cant Get Over another Shot,,,, But whats the point, this station in its current Dance friendly form is dead in less than one month.. That also means Adam is gone,, No more 5 AM wake up mix, or 5 o clock Road Rage,,, Which has been leaning toward POP-Hip Hop remixes lately.

While it's a shame to see B-97 Bloomington lose its live and local spirit at least B-97 will still be a CHR. I've actually been impressed everytime I've listened to Dial Global's Hits Now stations. In Kentucky you can hear it pretty much from the Bowling Green area and all the way up to certain parts of Louisville thanks to the Star FM stations from Elizabethtown and Glasgow carrying it. The Hits Now format is very current based, very Hot Hits, but still plays a great variety of old Recurrents and even "Old School" hits. I mean hell, at least it's not going to sound like the ultra-conservative Cumulus run CHRs.

listening to Z 100 this weekend while recovering from a flu bug, no Basshunter spins at all, for that matter, with the exception of 'calabria', no dance at all, maybe september or faded by cascada once or twice, that's it....

Yeah Basshunter Bombed out on us too.. Even no more spins than we gave it, we got complaints and people wanting that Euro Trash off their Radio..... ::)

Basshunter had a positive reaction on Pulse 87, then got burned out after a few months. Z100 had therefore played a burned out song.
Surprisingly, Cry For You has been in rotation on dance stations since the beginning of 2007 up till now.

saw a tv commercial the other nite(don't remember what it was for), two guys trapped in belgium with a guy flag dancing to fast dance beats coming from a boom box,as one of them buries their head in a pillow...not a good sign
