What is going on in Baton Rouge rating wise? Being so close to New Orleans this market sometimes gets left in teh dust.
 
A better question is what is going in Baton Rouge RADIO wise...I find myself listening online to stations across the country more and more everyday. Local radio is STALE...all the voice tracking SUCKS...it is AWFUL.
 
When you have a guy who has lived in New Orleans for less than 2 years doing a generic Afternoon Drive Show on the only News/Talk station in Baton Rouge, it's a pretty sad for radio.

Michael Castner sucks in New Orleans and he sucks more in Baton Rouge.
 
What really blows my mind is WTF? about the KRVE-HD2 signal and what they play. It changes like i change my underwear. Speaking of MY, they started out with the 80's and 90's "MY" format, then when the station went to their Christmas format in November it became a 70's and 80's iheart radio app. Then sometimes they play an assortment reel of anything from James Taylor and Earth Wind and Fire, to Britney Spears and Will Smith. It sounds like a cross between "The River" and WFMF.
 
WFMF appears to have refreshed its imaging this week—gone are the decade-old Sean Caldwell liners and N2Effect jingles, replaced with new Jeff Berlin voiceover and Steve Sykes' Hooks production.

Sure, the programming could still use a little help (I'd rather hear music and liners than that generic Premium Choice, for one,) but it's nice to hear WFMF sounding fresher than it has in years.

(Upon further inspection, the new production could either be Hooks or MicroJams)
