Well I just think this was funny last night Estereo Latino 102.9 was broadcasting live from Escapade 2001. Right next door Mega 101 was broadcasting live from Escapade 2006!!! I bet they could see each other from there!!! Just thought it was funny to see to stations from different companies in the same club!!!

I thought the same thing in 1977 when I was broadcasting from the KNUZ Country Cabin about 100 feet down from the KIKK mobile broadcast unit at the annex hall of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.

And Saturday morning in the George R Brown convention center. Or how you call it now the George Brown!!! Well they had some kind of student fair and both Univision with Estereo Latino and Telemundo with Mega were there!!! Danny morales was great!!

To my understanding from a worker at LBI, he told me that Both clubs have the same owner but both have different targets.
One club is for Regional Mexican music, and the other club is for Spanish Pop/Hip-Hop/Dance. I may be wrong since that was the word going about 6 months ago.

I just don't see how this is a battle. argue if you want, but what goes inside one club will not appeal to the people in the other club. It is like saying that you have a country bar and a dance club right besides each other. It just likely won't appeal to the people at the opposite club.

Old Johnny your right! Escapade 2001 is for regional mexican and stuff. Its four clubs in one, Cumbia Duranguese, Norteno and stuff. The other one is Escapade 2006 with Bachata and that other stuff!!!

2001 and 2006 totally different in almost everything (from the design inside the building and especially the music) but some of the paying customers like to walk over back and forth from club to club.
anyways, fridays at the escapades club complex, like this past friday, 2001 had about 5000 (some nights the club will get near 7000) paying customers where as 2006 with much less, i dont know what the figures are at but i will ask them on friday.

club numbers dont represent ratings or anything with what abitron ppm numbers are about so just because one club is way over its capacity doesnt mean anything. its just who or what band is playing that night. of course it helps that kltn promotes it.

on saturdays, kltn is also there at 2001, just a regular van hit, kltn does live at rodeo disco 2010 but we do broadcast live on escapade 2006 with 1049 tu musica and there has been a real improvement in number of paying customers.
