Y A W N!!! I too am a little disappointed in what I heard this morning. Seems since Blute left Scotto cannot fire up enough enthusiasm to get callers interested enough to dial in, yet on Friday when Todd sat in for SAM he had calls lined up around the block! I'm not used to hearing traffic every 10 minutes, rather distracting and takes away from the subject at hand. I hope this format improves going forward, otherwise, I will be listening to classic rock in the morning!
Edited by rockabyebaby on 10/10/05 01:43 PM.

oh whatta borin' morning! miller is so out of his friggin
element with this all-news format they got now. what's up with
the same traffic report every ten minutes. lame-o! they're sucking all
the creativity out of miller. cheap bastards! hey, new guy
since you're reading this you seem to be a news radio
geek and all, but this here is da talk station, ahhh-ko!
get it. word to the muther!

Change and Blute

I missed the show, but it sounds like they're trying to compete with BZ (doing traffic every 10 mins)?

Pee-ta Blute was being interviewed by John Keller on a Sunday morning news show.
Perhaps he's back on the circuit?

RIGHT-making radio more boring won't get ratings. Whittemore a news guy hired for the wrong station.

A Titanic Disaster

Wanted to give Scott Allen Miller a break but this disaster is beyond him. The program had no center or meaning; it just meandered through as long as I could take it. In fact, since the only thing it did was to remind me how good WBZ Radio can be and how professional they can sound; it made me turn to 'BZ.
Sadly, this is a Titanic disaster - run for the lifeboats if there are any.

You guys are brutal!

Give the show a few days to settle. What did you expect? Seriously. You guys are so ready for everything to suck. When was the last time any of you did AM Drive in Boston?

I like Scott. I hope he does well. Maybe this is, or isn't his ultimate gig. Who knows? But jeeeezus h. christ (PS...the catholic church now admits he may, or may not have been as cool as they thought) cut the guy some friggin' slack.

...perhaps he needs a co-host ;)

This was a little like the Tom Ellis/Robin Young disaster. The countdown and dramatic promos: "Boston Radio will never be the same" upped the expectation level. Then this disjointed talk show with constant traffic and weather interuptions takes to the scene. Oh, wait... I forgot the innovative aspect of the show: "The Bullfrog Edition with Howie Carr". Must have been a nationwide search to bring in that contributor!!

Make a note of this: We KNOW where to find traffic every ten minutes. We can check in there when we need that info. Why clutter up the Talk Station with those interruptions?

This morning's show was a stripped-down poor substitute for the Ted & Janet Show. At least they had a meteorologist, reporters and a sports guy.

What in the world are they thinking over there? Too funny with all of the "Boston" sloganeering. It didn't seem that Scotto's topics were local today either.

Listen, I know some say you can't judge by one show. I guess you're right, but I tuned in today at 5:30 to hear something unique and innovative based on their promos. Instead, I heard a limping talk show with traffic and weather every 10 minutes.

Where do we order sattelite?

Doesn't deserve a few days. Fits as well as a country outlet playing hip hop in the mornings. Bad moves don't deserve time to settle.

Too bad their Publicist can't spell

...or whoever wrote the "release" on their website.

"Boston’s Talk Station, WRKO AM 680 today unveiled it’s new morning show, 'Boston this Morning'"

Apostrophe S abuse.

C'mon, they need to fill the airtime until April when they can get the

Morning Snews

I can't figure what there doing. There must be more change coming, because this was mostly just more of Scott "Deer in the Headlights" Radio. There wasn't any news, just a couple more traffics/weather and chopped up talk.
