Hearst moves him from WTAE Pittsburgh where he was assistant news director to oversee operations at its NBC affiliate in Birmingham, Ala., replacing the retiring Sue Stephens.

Hearst-owned has promoted Baylor Long, assistant news director at its WTAE Pittsburgh, to news director at its NBC affiliate WVTM Birmingham, Ala. He succeeds Sue Stephens, who is retiring this month.

“Baylor brings a wealth of ideas and insights from his experience in other Hearst Television markets to help our winning team of journalists,” said Susana Schuler, president and general manager of WVTM. “He will be a valuable addition as WVTM continues to serve our communities with relevant, impactful, insightful news and weather coverage across all platforms.”
