Bayou 106

Hardtoplease

I had a friend ask me if I knew anything about Bayou 106 in N.O.

But I can't find anything about them on the web. Is there a Bayou 106 in the NO area?

What format?
Power?
Live or automated?
Who owns it?

I knew if the answers were out there... This board /users would have them.

As Smashedcd correctly IDed, It's actually Bayou 105.3 (WKBU) Kenner-New Orleans
Owned by Entercom It flipped to what they call a Mainstream Rock format (actually it's more of an AOR whose playlist ends in 2003) in January after morning team Walton and Johnson left their previous station and Entercom basically built them a new home in New Orleans from the former Hot A/C "The Zone"

It's pretty much live during work days but more automated at other times...
Putting out just under 100Kw off a 1000 foot tower east of New Orleans.

For an idea on coverage: http://radio-locator.com/cgi-bin/pat?call=WKBU&service=FM&status=L&hours=U

Voice over is done by Actor turned cluster mate talk show host (WWL-Am mornings) John "spud" McConnell http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0566279/
