BBC correspondent Huw Edwards, who has long been the network's prime anchorman for special events and breaking news (such as British election nights and the 2022 death of Queen Elizabeth II) is apparently out.
Reports this past July in the London Sun indicate that Edwards had paid someone to send him explicit photographs and shared "inappropriate messages" with BBC staff. Edwards has denied breaking any laws, but it's now all but certain he won't be back at the network.
