BBC Radio 1 can be a bit chatty for my taste, too, although that chattiness can also be part of the station's charm. So for me, that cuts both ways.
I've said it before, though, and I'll say it now, that the biggest improvement that could be made here would be for Sirius to post title-and-artist listings to listeners' radio screens, the way it does with so many of its other music streams.
One other improvement that could be made is strictly personal and might not affect anyone else: For me, the 6 PM - 7 PM Sunday timeslot is generally filled such that I can't tune in to the end of the chart show (which runs from 4 PM to 7 PM)... Maybe the station could re-run the chart show earlier or later? (Or maybe I'm missing something?)
On the other hand, BBC Radio One arguably makes it easier for American listeners to keep up with the British music scene. There's been a gap as wide as the Atlantic Ocean between the British and American music scenes dating back to before The Beatles (and, as a result, we Americans have arguably missed out on some great music -- and surely some mediocrities too -- an effect that also cuts the other way to the other side of the ocean) but it's helpful that Sirius now airs a British pop music station.
