BDH

Couple of things that need to be put out there since the "Reporter" Richie Whitt seems to leave things out when it is somebody he is friends with:
1. 1360 is not a legit station; it is a rent-a-station... The company that is behind "Rational Radio" is renting 1360 from Multicultural Radio Broadcasting.
So let's not pretend that The Richard Hunter Show has been hired. They most likely are buying the time themselves.
2. Hunter's show is not on nationally like Richie the idiot would lead you to believe, it is on here, and no where else, because nobody wants to pick it up.
3. By all accounts Rational Radio is in big trouble, and that is why they sold the time to him to begin with. Chances are it will not be around long.
So listen while you can BDH fans, all 6 of you won't have long to listen....
 
At least we will have something to listen to. I am so tired of Sports and Conservative talk. As for Rational Radio is in big trouble lets just wait and see. Dallas radio was cool but with the fall of 105.3 things are just stupid now

I totally agree! I need something good to listen to...I think BDH is one of the most interesting talk shows Dallas has ever seen. I can't wait to hear him. I know a lot of people that are glad to see him return to the radio.

While I don't doubt part, if not all, of that could be true, what's with the venom? Did he cross you or something? ???
 
No, just wanted to point out the facts.... But, I will say that dudes that are pushing 40, trying to act 20 do get on my nerves... Black nail polish? Trucker hats? Hair dye? Come on. Me thinks somebody trying to hard.
 
Yeah, I know amazing that somebody might think that the slow talking rocker want-to-be sucks.... Just don't think the show is any good, and wanted to straighten out the false facts that he has his crew spewing. Thats all.... Peace, Love, and Chicken Grease. ;D

BDH doesn't rely on lame bits...that something someone like that Russ guy would do.
He is different and refreshing, but if that's not your cup of tea, just move on

My favorite part of this thread was Isaidso airing "facts" then proceeding to do nothing but speculate. Did BDH pay for the spot? Is RR in jeopardy of going away? If you know something, spill it otherwise, ME thinks you should STFU. Bitter bitter little man. That goes for you as well Board Monkey. BDH is one of if not THE best talker in DFW, he is more diverse than Mark Davis, better than any of the national s streaming in...I can't wait for April 1. THAT is no joke.

If by diverse you mean endless MMA and GGW talk then, yeah, BDH opens up whole new worlds of talk radio.

I have the right to expound my disgust for BDH's schlock just as much as anyone that posts in the RMS threads. You should read your own words that I put in Italics.

The Facts are: 1360 is a joke station with no ratings, that is rented time, and is not a great new job for the RHS. That best talker talked himself off to stations because he has a big ol'bag of nothing.
The fact that this joker is starting on April Fools day is Perfect, because he is one (Last statement more opinion based than fact) Shame on me though wasting any time or thought for a joke show on a joke station is stupid. I think the fact that Richie "I care nothing about facts, but I do prop up any show that will put me on the air, conflict of interest be damned" Whitt wrote the crap he did got me fired up.

if by diverse, you mean a guy who can talk to prolific pornographers and leaders of the Religious Right with the same discipline as an interviewer, yeah, i think that qualifies as diverse. If he can interview the certifiable OJ Simpson and an Oscar winner all the while involving and interacting with his listeners, yeah, pretty diverse. The fact that he is off The Fan certainly has nothing to do with him, are you really going to argue that it does?

SaidSo and Boredmonkey, bitter little men, you must be Russ Martin (un)listeners. I am waiting by my radio, happy that not all of our radio here sucks.
 
Nope, was glad to see Russ go... Yes I think he is gone from the Fan because he sucks. Jagger still there, and he, um, doesn't talk sports. Well you should be happy about one thing... You will always be able to get in to talk to your beloved 40 year-old, who thinks he is 20, black nail polish, purple hair, Faux intellectual, because you and Richie will be the only ones calling. BTW: The other conveniently ignored question: If he in fact is the next great voice of a generation, why no affiliate interest? Hmmmm. They must have heard his "Rick Dees Demo"

If it is rented time, maybe it is because he needs a "mothership" for syndication deals to start. Can't sell what you are not cooking, even if you don't like the flavor. Where did you find the insider info that there is no affiliate interest. i would think that would be pretty priviledged info. Do share, I'd love to know!
 
Great question, it got quiet pretty quick. I would prefer to hear BDH on a premium station like WBAP or even on a music station like The Eagle. But as long as I get 1360, my first button is set. Since I spend the majority of my time driving around DFW, I am good.
