Beach 104

Cause it sounds like a well programmed station with a good overall presentation for a Hot AC. Besides, there are frequent complaints that Tidewater has no real CHR as Z104 leans too rhythmic. I think that this station would be very successful.

Do people in Tidewater listen to Beach 104?

I live in Portsmouth, and I can pick up Beach 104 pretty easily on any decent radio (ie most anything but clock radios). I also listen to 102.5 The Shark which is from that area, but a bit harder to pick up.

yep...

100kw at 1000ft...operating on a tower near Powells Point NC..which was at one time the home of WSKY TV 4 as well....they put a nice signal across hampton roads and NE NC...I remember touring the studios/transmitter (as well as WSKY) back in the Ray-D-O Biz days for a High School Video project...I think I have the video rolling around my hard drive...if anybody wants, I will upload it....

Hey man, that would be awesome if it's not too much trouble. I used to be the PD/AM Drive from 11/12/02-12/31/04. I left town then came back a few months later and I've been helping out part time at Beach and their sister station Watercountry WCMS(formerly WWOC) ever since. Both stations still have TONS of potential.

Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and New Year to all of you.

During the summer months 104.1 WCXL makes it up to Cape May, NJ and the Southern Jersey shore like a local.......When I was down there in November, I listened to "Beach 104" with a crystal clear signal for about a 20 miles traveling up the coast.....Other NC stations do make it up to NJ but not nearly as strong.
