"Beaner and Ken do want the show to flow better.

The PD in Syracuse and the PD in Birmingham can't get together and agree on music for the show. B&K want to broadcast LIVE in Birmingham from 6-10am. They don't want a bunch of New Yorkers on the air all the time. The want people from Alabama on. If the show was broadcast live here then it could happen and it would have a flow to it."

Since their Birmingham station lost their big stick, Beaner and Ken are now on 2 crappy stations. Looks like this experiment is over.

Maybe they'll both agree that it's pointless and go away. Hello Country!

Southern-fried Yankees

Syracuse listeners don't want to hear "Southern-fried" radio, and Birmingham listeners don't want to hear "Damn Yankees". So, it seems that doing one show for both markets isn't realistic, which is why they're not doing well in either market. Expect a change sooner, rather than later.

Since Birmingham is market #57, and has history with Beaner & Ken, it seems a no-brainer that they'll end up there and not in Syracuse. One might guess that contract or other obstacles are preventing that move, and that the current debacle is an attempt to "park" the boys temporarily.

If Citadel's other markets are any indication, it's likely that Syracuse will get its own morning show. If, that is, they can find a PD that can actually pick a winner.
