Beaner and Ken will be splitting up soon. A friend of mine was contacted by Beaners agent for a solo gig.<P ID="signature">______________

How would Beaner get along without his funny co-host? Maybe in a different format? Like CHR, maybe? And...has anyone ever told Beaner not to try so hard to be funny? It doesn't work. Really funny stuff comes naturally--he should take a lesson or two from his partner.

Hey, maybe Beaner will move over to Lite!

As they say, "It couldn't hurt!"

Are you kidding? Have you looked at the numbers? Beaner & Ken can't get out of town fast enough. Smoothie's an evening guy on a station running Syracuse basketball. He has more impact on the studio chair than the ratings.

As far as the rest of the staff is concerned, I look at it as two down, and two to go.

They've already blown up the station. Now its time to start pumping out the water, refloat the hulk, and rebuild. The first thing they need is a PD who can clean up the current presentation and inspire enough confidence that talented people will agree to work there. Stone can't program his own show, let alone anybody else. He might be a viable jock with a PD that has enough backing to bring the hammer down and straighten out his sorry act. Otherwise, "See ya".

Of course, they could always go in a completely different direction. Can you say "Country 95"?
