Beasley Broadcast Group to Acquire Greater Media

Prepare for a mix-up in Charlotte radio, Beasley has too many stations they are allowed to have, so expect some divesting in this market, what will happen to the 7 stations that Beasley owns, Kiss 95.1, V101.9, K104.7, 610 The Fan, America's Pulse 1660, Power 98, and 103.7 FM, and what about the future stations WBT and The Link.
Expect some changes at K104.7 and 107.9 The Link, as having the Link is a conflict of interest for Beasley, because they are both AC. WBT however is prize to win, as it's the only clear-channel signal that they have. I think K104.7 has to rethink itself, as The Link is well-known in the market for Bob & Sheri. WBTV will be the only tenant in the building that both Greater Media stations are leaving, as they are moving to the Beasley studios in Down...I mean "Uptown" Charlotte. I almost forgot they call the center of Charlotte uptown!

In Philly, they will be at max capacity again in that market.

The Link is really Hot AC.

K104.7 seems to be having trouble making up its mind whether it is really almost Hot AC or leaning toward the 70s, 80s and 90s.

K104.7 needs to prepare itself for the Link, also, some Charlotte stations will be sold, because Beasley has to many stations allowed after they purchase Greater Media.

This gives Beasley entry into Detroit, where Greater Media owns three stations, but Beasley owns none. This seems like a merger that will improve the performance of the stations. Unclear on who would be able to acquire the properties Beasley might have to divest. Not exactly a lot of capital chasing radio assets at present.
