Beasley / cbs

There's no doubt they'll keep it country. And get ready for Amp on 96.5 I'd wager. Voice track it and forget about it.

Now the 610 part adds a fun wrinkle to the equation.

I'd wager KYW-FM on 96.5. WWDB call letters goto 610 along with the talk programming & moves to Bala, 1210 becomes WIP-AM and WXTU stays as is but moves to 4th & Market.

I don't know if CBS would simulcast KYW at this time. It's still the top biller in Philly and the fm simulcast hasn't really been effective for WBBM in Chicago.

I expect XTU to stay as is and Wired should be Amped up to take on Q.

We really don't know if the WMAQ simulcast has been effective, as we don't have the custom TLR report subscribers can order. On the other hand, the simulcast with an FM did great things for the 25-54 demos for KCBS in San Francisco. So, for the moment, we can't discard this as an option they are considering.

Wouldn't it make sense to move the country format to 96.5 instead of 925xtu make it 965xtu. The 92.5 signal has been poor, since the days of WIFI when they were 50kw at 500' then after a stint at that site as WXTU they finally got the move ok'd to slide over to the antenna farm with a directional signal. the 96.5 signal is far superior so why not put the cash cow on the bigger signal. Now with WIP, bring in Rush, Hannity(at his live time slot) Levin and CTCAM at night with no interruptions.

^^WBBM. WMAQ hasn't been on radio since the 90s.

Sorry... was thinking of too many stations at once. Of course, WMAQ is now The Score and has nothing to do with 780.
