Beasley station swaps...

The rumor is that 95 Rock will find itself on the 95.5 translator before long. Of course, that's just a rumor, and I couldn't tell you when that's expected to happen. So, we'll have to wait and see!

STUPID!

While I think it was smart to put WGAC on FM, it should have gone to 93.9 and they should have left 95Rock alone. If not, they could have at least put rock on 102.7, who covers the market better! There are some mad people on 95Rock's Facebook page and there's a page with a thousand fans already demanding the return of the rock format to 95.1.

I see 95 Rock is now 95 ROCK on 93.1 fm so it is very possible that the 95.5 translator will also air the station for Augusta. Looking at the signal maps i see 95.5 is on 10 watts which really wont cover much more than the core of the city and not even reach outside the 520 loop. it will have to boost its power to really help.

Yeah, that 95.5's pretty worthless. I think 95Rock, while not a top performer, still is worth enough to deserve a better signal instead of just being almost thrown away on 93.1. It would certainly do better than southern gospel on 102.7, and that signal has better coverage. It should have gone there.
I wonder if anybody else would go rock in Augusta? If Perry didn't just do Urban formats, it'd be a good format for 92.3. I don't see Clear Channel doing it.

Why does Beasley even own 93.1? It's kinda out in the middle of nowhere.

92.3 was rock before the jazz format & Perry pulled it...but yes 95rock needs not to be thrown away... maybe Beasley has a chance for a cp to boost power on 93.1...who knows...

Savannah's 93.1 & Batesville's 93.1 would prevent that from happening.

95.5 is a piss poor location for a translator. Most of the time, Savannah's 95.5 comes in pretty well.
