Beat 90.1/Monterrey,MX is beast

I've been in Monterrey, Mexico the past couple of weeks and the execution of Beat 90.1 is excellent. Very broad playlist, varying genres by time of day/day of week. Seldom any repeats.

In the morning you hear generally older tracks (nothing is off limits.. heard Voodoo & Serano, Safri Duo, Afrika Bambaata, Depeche Mode, New Order, Ace of Base, Darude, including rare remixes). In the Afternoon, you hear current dance hits mixed with house jams, usually the originals or club mixes -- NOT radio edits (and uncensored). Nights are more experimental with progressive, dubstep, trance, house.

Weekends are filled with tons of guest DJs. Truly a gem of a station.

Thx for the heads up I'm gonna add this to my iphone favorites. I shall never figure out why Dance (not uptempo pop) hasn't caught on in the states.....yet?

I also like sister station Beat 100.9/Mexico City. WOW is the U.S. missing out on unbelievable music. It is remarkable that the country is not allowing itself to indulge in the most exciting, life-giving music going on in the rest of the world right now. Right now The Beat/Mexico City is playing Ladytron "Ace of HZ" (Tiesto Rmx). Simply amazingggg music.

Hey, I like it too. But it tends to not succeed where tried. (Perhaps there's no accounting for taste...or lack thereof....)
