Beautiful Music in Stereo on WITZ

If you're nostalgic for the old days of radio when FM stood for "Fancy Music" and within the coverage of WITZ Jasper, give them a listen early Sunday morning. They play beautiful music, including savor moments, until noon or when sports coverage starts. So if you would like an idea of how stations like WSTO and WIKY sounded thirty years ago, here's your chance.

Side note...My achieves have a sample of WSTO from that time period and just for kicks I lifted a beautiful music liner. When I did nights at 96STO ten years ago I would play that liner on occasion. The well articulate voice said, "Beautiful Music in Stereo on WSTO". I would air that into soft musical moments like Green Day's "When I Come Around", Will Smith's "Gettin' Jiggy Wit It" or C+C Music Factory's "Gonna Make You Sweat". Good Times!!!

How good of a signal do they throw into Evansville? I tried to hear them on a walkman in 2005 and couldn't get jack squat, but I've got a new walkman that has a great tuner, I'm thinking it could pick up WITZ now.

There are terrain issues between Jasper and Evansville hindering WITZ that direction. If you look at radio locator the distance from WITZ to Evansville and Owensboro are the same, 42 miles. But WITZ is pretty solid in Owensboro while choppy in Evansville.
