Beck Names New Undiscovered Talk Star

Bill, judging from your post history here, either you're Bruce himself, his publicist or you know more about him than his physician.
I was there and don't recall any coronation taking place.
Then you missed the Saturday luncheon with Beck as keynote.
I WAS there and YES used to produce Bruce years ago in Phoenix
now producing another show in West Coast medium.
And I probably do know more about him than his doctor. Just spreading
the word about my friend. Certainly not a crime.

You are correct. It is not a crime. When someone wants to give public accolades to a friend, that is usually a good, positive, and praiseworthy action. The only exception is when it's done without revealing that the person person doing the praising is a close friend or colleague of the person getting the praise. That's tacky.

We've just seen more than one instance of a host trying to raise buzz about himself by posing as someone else, and trying to get people to talk about him. This had kind of an "astroturf" feel to it, as the political folks say.
I'd have taken it better if you'd been open about who you are from the start, i.e. "I used to produce this guy in Phoenix, and it's good to see him getting some national attention"...

Maybe Bill's auditioning to be the next "new undiscovered talk star" after Bruce makes it big, and is using this thread to practice!
BTW, Mr. Peterson excerpted two pages worth of Beck's speech in an October edition of his downloadable newsletter:

Evidently, if Glenn Beck did mention Bruce, Al Peterson thought it wasn't worth sharing (his words, not mine).
Look, I don't really know Bruce at all. I'm sure he's talented, and is probably just as likely as any other local host to be "the new undiscovered talk star"...but your message looked like astroturf, that's all.
