Radio talk-show host Glenn Beck will broadcast his nationally syndicated radio program from the studio of Columbus affiliate WTDA (103.9 FM) on Friday. The live show will air from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. but won’t be open to the public, station officials said.

What's funny is that Beck turned down 1230 because he said the signal was too weak. Wait until he gets here and finds out how bad 103.9's signal is. LMAO!!!

I'll bet the show is closed to the public to avoid protests by Beck fans who had thought they'd still be able to hear him on the radio. OOPS.

that or Beck will find out the WTDA studio is nothing more than a broom closet converted into a broadcast studio (or just slightly larger than that) -- as I suspect since TDA came in after NABCO had their current facilities that the TDA studio is likely tiny.

All 3 of Nabco's stations have decent sized studios. Odd assumption for you to make. ???

So what has Beck been saying about being in Columbus and the crappy signal he is now on? Remember most of this town can't hear that crappy signal!

Heck it's hard to get outside the studios! I do have to give NABCO effort for trying though. Hopefully the talk format works out for them despite the sub par signal.

driving home from cincy on friday, i heard glenn on tedtalk all the way from wilmington up to sr161. tedtalk's signal was very clear and crisp and glenn was hilarious. i stopped for lunch at 1pm. tedtalk is building a folloeing in cbus.--david5258

Wilmington? You must have one damn good radio, especially if you drove through downtown Columbus instead of taking 270. And TDA, like most weak stations, is always much easier to pick up in a car radio. Or maybe their coverage is much better to the southwest than the west (or Dayton's WXEG 103.9 doesn't reach southward very well.) Or maybe it was strange atmospheric conditions.

Regardless, what I'm most interested in is what data source you're using to back up your statement that "Tedtalk" (?) is building a following in Columbus. If that conclusion is based on hearing it come out of other peoples' radios, forget it. There have been stations I've heard almost everywhere I go -- businesses, blaring out of cars --- I mean seemingly EVERYWHERE -- and then they barely reach a 1 share in the ratings. (Although I *have* noticed this phenomenon more in some other markets than in Columbus.)
