While we're on the topic of unintentionally funny radio moments, does anyone remember this?
This was maybe 1996 or 1997, when Q-102 was starting to move away from its "Station you grew up with" stage. They used this really weird (but somewhat appealing, in a goofy sort of way) bed music for its traffic reports. It's impossible to really describe it here, but it went something like...
"DullUUULLLLULLLLudddduuuuuLLLLLLUUUUULLLLudddduuuuLLLLLL..."
Does anyone know what I'm talking about?
It's one of those "you had to be there" moments, I guess.
I do remember a couple of times, they'd do a traffic report, but the traffic reporter's mic was off, so they just played this bed music for 2 minutes. Didn't sound real professional.
