Before the rumors start...

As posted on my Myspace blog:

I just wanted to let everyone know that as of today I have resigned my position with Q951. I was not asked to leave, fired, or anything like that. This decision was mine and mine alone.

The reason? I need a break. I also have some health concerns and I need to take care of those. Don't worry, I'm ok. Basically, I've been having panic attacks and based on discussions with many people, much thought and prayer the only thing I can sense causing them is stress and I need to recharge. Some would say that I just need a vacation... I'm afraid that I need a little more than that and I've decided, for now, to pursue other things.

I am not leaving on a sour note in fact I very much appreciate everyone at work for being supportive through this trial. Special thanks go out to Heather, Carson, Virginia and the rest of those who have been there for me. I love you all more than you'll ever know.

I want to thank you for all of your love, support and encouragement. I love you all very much and I will miss talking to you every night. I'm keeping my Myspace so keep in touch! I'll do the same.

Much love,

Jonathan

Thanks for the kind words, it's much apprciated. Who knows, maybe I'll at least get into some part time stuff after a while... but for now I'm going to "get back to my roots." I'm also exploring going back to school and just taking some time to smell the roses while I look for a "real" job. BTW, if anyone has any bones they'd like to throw me in that department, feel free. ;D

Always a good plan, if you have the cash, and the ability.

I was once in a similar position; dropped out of full-time radio and became a full-time academic. It turned out to be the right call.
